Green computing is for me. But how this came to be was more by necessity than by my wanting to care for planet Earth. Now don't get me wrong, I believe that climate change is a real and I believe that we all need to do everything we can to reduce our carbon emissions, save water, recycle and generally waste less and produce less waste. But where do we/I start? Well, in that last few months, the cost of electricity for our business has risen. There have been two factors that have directly contributed to this:

1. The cost of electricity in Brisbane has risen in the past 12 months.
2. We are operating more servers and storage, and therefore more air-conditioner cycles as well.

Here are some of the most critical factors in email marketing:

1. Sending bulk email that does not comply with anti-spam laws is illegal.
2. Sending bulk email from email clients such as Outlook can lead to your whole domain being blacklisted for spamming.
3. Sending bulk mail that does not pass anti-spam criteria will probably end up in the receivers junk mail folder or will not be delivered at all.
4. It's roughly 6 to 12 times less expensive to sell to an existing customer than it is to acquire a new one.
5. According to surveys, customers and prospects would prefer to hear from you via e-mail than any other way.
6. You will spend less time, money and resources eMarketing than with direct mail or print.
7. With eMarketing your time-sensitive information is sent in minutes, not days or weeks.
